Photo of the Week – Mighty Moose

This week’s Photo of the Week is of a moose we encountered during our recent trip up north, to Temagami. Temagami is in northern Ontario, nestled amongst the spruce, pines, lakes and rocky outcrops of beautiful Canadian Shield country. I’ll be running an outdoor photography workshop up there next spring and so we were up there for our third scouting trip. As with our previous trips, we encountered a moose on our travels. This is something that is always a highlight for me. I just love seeing these big, imposing animals browsing in a bog somewhere. To me, they are one of the symbols of wilderness and of the Canadian north.
